Is Nicotinamide nicotine in disguise? Is it harmful?
Sometimes when very tired but with work that has to be done, I will have an energy drink that has lots of good things like ginseng, royal jelly, B6, B12 etc, but it also contains 20mg of Nicotinamide. Is this OK? Is Nicotinamide an artificial stimulant I really don't want to be taking 20mg of?

Vitamin B3 is one of the water soluble nutrients and a member of the B complex vitamins. It exists in two forms- nicotinic acid (niacin) and nicotinamide (niacinamide).
Both forms of the vitamin perform the functions attributed to niacin. Its action as a coenzyme is to assist enzymes in the breakdown and utilization of carbohydrates, fatty acids and proteins. Niacin is resistant, unlike some other B vitamins, to oxidation, acids, alkalis, heat and ultra violet light.

You are ok to consume 20 mg ... I consume more than that in my daily multi vitamin.
